1. The Department of Mathematics is an inherent constituent of Govt. Science College, Chatrapur which was started functioning from the year 1970-71.

2. INFRASTRUCTURE AND LEARNING RESOURSES
Department of Mathematics is having the following infrastructure facilities to cater the needs of Mathematics students:

• Staff Common Room 01 No.
Weekly departmental seminar is conducted.
3. ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE STUDENTS:
In 2019, one student got admitted into PG course in Berhampur University. In 2021, one student named Kamini Nahak got selected for government job. In 2022, one student named Prem Kumar Behera got posted in Odisha police
